 Arcadia's Highland Christmas to mark 10 years in support of Food Bank

Arcadia Brewing Company is preparing for the celebration of their 17th Anniversary. The annual event titled, “A Highland Christmas” is a Scottish-themed holiday party and will take place on December 7th, 2013 at Arcadia Brewing Company, located at 103 W. Michigan Avenue in downtown Battle Creek. The event is open to the public. Kilts Their tradition of brewing a unique ale for the event continues. Arcadia XVII is a brown ale brewed with cherries and spices; a perfect winter meal accompaniment.
December 7th be the first opportunity the public gets to taste the newest Arcadia Ales creation. The day’s festivities begin at 9:00 AM with Arcadia founder and president Tim Suprise on the grille, helping to prepare a highland breakfast that will include scrambled eggs, sausage, house made corned beef hash, toast and a half pint of Arcadia XVII for just $9. Beginning at noon there will be a $3 cover. Beginning at 5:00 there will be a $5 cover.

Proceeds from cover charges are being donated to the Food Bank of South Central Michigan. Special lunch and dinner menus will include Scotch eggs, house smoked salmon, Carlson Farms organic lamb, Starboard Stout beef stew, Haggis, and house favorites like BBQ and pizza. Entertainment for the day will include the Celtic sounds of the Kalamazoo Pipe Band

The schedule for the day is as follows:
  • 9:00 - 11:00 AM: Highland Breakfast
  • 11:00 - Special menu
  • 5:45 PM - Address to the Haggis
  • 6:00 PM - Music from the Kalamazoo Pipe Band
  • 7:30 - Barrel Aged Cereal Killer goes on tap!
  • 8:00 PM - Music from Fonn Mor

Established in 1996 to handcraft artisanal British-inspired Ales and distinctive wood-fired cuisine in Downtown Battle Creek, Arcadia Brewing Company is proud to mark in 2013 the 10th consecutive year in which our "Highland Christmas" entry fees have been donated to the Food Bank of South Central Michigan.
