 griffin claw honlulu drink release

Griffin Claw Brewing Company, Birmingham’s popular taproom, biergarten, brewing and distributing facility, is releasing its new seasonal “HonoluluBlu” beer today.
The Detroit-themed beer is an American Cream Ale that is light in color and low in ABV, coming in at 4.5% with 8 IBU. This is the perfect tailgating beer because it is easy drinking, very low hop bittering, while still having some aroma. It will be released in 16 oz. pint cans that were designed by Malt, a famous street artist from Detroit who has done numerous projects around the city including the Dequindre Cut & Hopcat to name a few. He also designed one other label for the brewery for their Bourbon Barrel Imperial Pumpkin – which sold out in less than 2 days! Inspiration for the artwork for the “HonoluluBlu” beer can comes from the Detroit Lions.

“HonoluluBlu” is the second beer Griffin Claw has brewed in honor of Detroit. “Mr. Blue Sky” was the first and was released earlier this year in February. It is now available inside the Taproom and shipped out today to the brewery’s distribution channel. Griffin Claw Brewing Company’s Taproom is open Tuesday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., Fridays from noon to 12 a.m., Saturdays from noon to 12 a.m., Sundays noon to 10 p.m. and closed on Mondays.

With a mission to serve the best craft beer, Griffin Claw Brewing Company is located at 575 S. Eton Street, in the heart of Birmingham’s emerging Rail District. Dan Rogers, Head Brewer and Director of Brewery Operations, oversees all the brewing, distilling, distributing, and operations at the 12,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility. Griffin Claw is one of the first breweries to begin using Meura’s Micromash filter to deliver incredible quality with efficiencies unmatched by other brewing systems. The brewery also recently added a centrifuge and high-gravity brewing system to make even more consistent beer faster to reach their desired capacity.
