Hundreds Sample Unique Homebrews at Arbor’s Annual Rat Fest
It’s no secret that Arbor Brewing’s founders Matt and Rene Greff came out of Michigan’s thriving homebrewing scene. And today, with more than two decades in the commercial brewing industry, they still pay homage to their roots with Rat Fest, an annual event featuring dozens of beers created by area homebrewing clubs.

Two Decades Under the Influence: Grizzly Peak Brewing Celebrates 20th Anniversary
It’s hard to believe now, as Michigan tops 200 operating breweries, but back in 1995, Grizzly Peak in Ann Arbor was among only a handful of brewing establishments in the state. To celebrate the 20th anniversary milestone, head brewer Duncan Williams was joined by a number of notable Grizzly Peak alumni June 25 to brew a special commemorative beer, XX Pale Ale.

Beer Grotto Now Open in Dexter Hybrid Store First of Many Envisioned in Michigan
The Beer Grotto, a new-concept beer and wine bar and retail shop, that opened last Wednesday to a full house packed into 8059 Main St. in Dexter. The 3,000 sq. ft. space, formerly occupied by the Dexter Pharmacy, encompasses a merchandise area featuring wine and beer bottles, apparel, glassware, books, and more as well as a lounge space with a multitap bar, light snacks, and seating for a few dozen customers.
