‘Michigan Beer Company’ Restaurant Opens in Novi Where Gastropub Serves Up Offerings From Every Michigan Brewery And A Locally-Sourced Menu
Written by Paul StarrThe goal of the Michigan Beer Company (MBC) is simple: to give local beer lovers, who’ve made Michigan one of the hottest craft beer states in the country, a place to call home. “If a Michigan brewery has a distributor they'll be represented on our beer list, which will be ever-changing and growing,” says owner Dan Linnen. Diners passionate not only about beer but about great food to pair it with will not be disappointed. Chef Jeff Krulikowski, former sous chef of Toasted Oak Grill & Market in Novi, has designed a unique menu with a strong nod to Michigan and its locally-sourced products. These products, which will include many more when Michigan produce is in season, include shrimp from Farm Fresh Seafood in Okemos, Michigan (created by Russ Allen in 1994 as a way of providing a more sustainable and ecologically friendly way of producing shrimp), venison from various venison farms in the thumb area of Michigan, and rabbit from Hoppin Good Farms, which sources rabbits from small family farms in southern Michigan and the thumb area.
