Frankenmuth Brewery Kicks off Summer Music Stage on The Beach at Campus Martius

When plans of the Beach at Campus Martius were first disclosed earlierthis year, Frankenmuth Brewery’s Brand Director, Maher Sarafa saw the perfect opportunity to promote its newest beer brand, Twisted Helles Summer Lager in a vibrant, new beach setting located in the middle of Downtown Detroit. “After reading an article about the urban beach at Campus Martius, I instantly knew the Twisted Helles brand was a natural tie-in with the fun and excitement the Beach was going to create.” said Sarafa . “Sand, wood deck, beach chairs and outdoor bar sounded too good to be true, but Campus Martius delivered the vision and then some.” The result has been a win-win partnership for both the brewery and Campus Martius Park.
Frankenmuth Brewery - Twisted Helles Summer LagerOn Friday, July 12 at 5pm, Frankenmuth Brewery proudly kicks off its summer music stage on The Beach @ Campus Martius with The Roots Vibrations Band, the 2013 Detroit Music Awards winner for Outstanding Reggae Band. The Beach @Campus Martius truly captures the Northern Michigan vibe with a colorful ‘beach party” ambience complete with wooden deck, food and beverage at the Beach Bar and Grille to relax in.

“As far as downtown happy hour venues go, I can’t think of any place to be than the Beach@ Campus Martius to unwind and kick off a weekend” said Sarafa “ You can relax on patio couches, stick your feet in the sand and listen to live music in an amazing outdoor urban environment. This time of the year, Campus Martius is always stirring with people and activities so we expect a great turnout at the Beach this Friday and throughout the summer”.

In addition to sponsoring the Beach Music Stage, Frankenmuth Brewery made a commitment to Campus Martius Park to be the official craft beer of the park during its Summer and Winter event series. “We are thrilled to have Frankenmuth Brewery as one of our sponsorship partners”, said Robert Gregory, President, Detroit 300 Conservancy. “They are premier craft beer brand located in the top tourist attraction in Michigan so their participation is a perfect match for so many great reasons.”

“Our Frankenmuth beer brands will benefit tremendously from the sampling opportunities and awareness the sponsorship affords us. The demographics of folks working in and around Campus Martius is exactly who we want to reach and convert to Frankenmuth Brewery craft beer fans.” added Sarafa

After Friday’s concert, the Frankenmuth Brewery Stage on the Beach@ Campus Martius will continue on July 19, August 2nd , 9th and 16th. Check out the full calendar of Campus Martius Summer event series at .
