Flint Institute of Arts and Applebee's present the 7th Annual Beer Tasting Event - an Ode to Michigan Beers

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar presents the 7th Annual Beer Tasting EventArt on Tap— at the Flint Institute of Arts on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 4:00p–8:00p. The FIA is pleased to have Applebee’s as its Signature Sponsor again.
The event will take place in FIA’s South parking lot under a large tent and will exclusively feature Michigan craft beers. 26 brewing companies will participate in the event including Dark Horse Brewing, Motor City Brew Works, Founder’s, Arbor Brewing, Griffin Claw Brewing & Jolly Pumpkin Brewing (see full list at flintarts.org/beertasting). In recent years, Michigan has been ascending the ranks in craft beer production in the U.S., ranking 5th in 2013 (Brewers Association). Beer lovers, both connoisseurs and novices, won’t want to miss this fun-filled evening sampling Michigan’s best brews and supporting the award-winning Flint Institute of Arts.

Each guest will receive five tasting tickets and a commemorative tasting glass. Advance reservations are $30 per person and $35 per person at the door. Additional tasting tickets may be purchased for $1 each. Guests must be 21 or older to attend. For no additional cost, enjoy delicious Michigan-themed beer cuisine from Redwood Steakhouse. Throughout the evening, enjoy live entertainment from The Corner Boys, a silent auction, raffle and much more!

For a special treat, attend a VIP Tasting at 3pm in FIA’s Isabel Hall prior to the main event and sample an exclusive flight of Michigan brews hosted by Rex Halfpenny of the Michigan Beer Guide. Attend both events for $40 in advance or $50 at the door.

The FIA continues its successful partnership with John P. O’Sullivan Distributing, Inc. and Fabiano Brothers, Inc. All proceeds from the event benefit programming and exhibitions at the FIA. The FIA looks forward to another stellar year!

The Flint Institute of Arts is located just two blocks off I-475 in the Flint Cultural Center between the University of Michigan-Flint and Mott Community College. Museum hours are Mon–Wed & Fri 12p–5p; Thu 12p–9p; Sat 10a–5p and Sun 1p-5p.
