A Howling Summer kickoff in Old Town with Festival of the Moon & Sun

Well, it's summer in Lansing again and that must mean that it's time for the 8th annual Festival of the Moon and Sun in Old Town. As usual, there is a full lineup of food, bands, and craft beer for both festivals.
A Howling Summer kickoff in Old Town with Festival of the Moon & SunThe Festival of the Moon will be held on Friday, June 22nd from 5-11 PM. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the gate and attendees must be at least 21 years of age. There will be several bands performing throughout the night and all the beer will be provided by Bell's Brewery. They'll be bringing their usual lineup of stand-by beers and a few specialty brews, including the well fortified Expedition Stout and the delicious Harvest Ale. Several local food vendors will be there as well including The Purple Carrot food truck, Trailer Park'd food truck, and Mediteran restaurant from downtown Lansing.

The Festival of the Sun will be held the next day, Saturday, June 23rd from 2pm to 11pm. Tickets are $17 in advance or $20 at the gate. There will be a wide array of wine and beer choices from a number of regional breweries and local distributors. Among them will be Dark Horse Brewery from Marshall, Sierra Nevada, Magic Hat, Crispin Cider (for you cider lovers) from Britain, and more. There will be live bands throughout the day and the same delicious food as the night before will also be available.
