Woldumar Nature Center will be hosting a Michigan Beer and Wine Tasting

There is an exciting event coming up soon at Woldumar Nature Center in Lansing. Woldumar is the only non-profit, privately run nature center in Lansing and focuses on educating people, especially children, on the joys and wonders of the outdoor world. It is set on 178 acres of forest, wetlands, and restored prairie previously owned by the Olds family and runs along the Grand River on the far west side of town. They hold outdoor youth summer camps, boating events, owl watching and other community programs throughout the year.
Woldumar Nature Center will be hosting a Michigan Beer and Wine TastingOn May 11th, from 6pm to 11pm, Woldumar will be hosting their newest event, Petals & Vines, which will be in conjunction with their annual Wildflower Weekend. Petals & Vines will feature beer and wine tasting from several Michigan breweries and wineries including Darkhorse Brewery, Mt. Pleasant Brewing Company, Arcadia Ales, DragonmeadBurgdorf's WinerySandhill Crane Vineyards.

In addition to the beer tasting, there will be musical entertainment, a light dinner, and a souvenir pint glass provided for those in attendance. Red Ledge Brewers, a home brewing club, will also be there holding a brewing demonstration. Tickets are $30 and are available in advance through the Woldumar website. This is going to be a very fun night and by coming, you will be helping support a tremendous organization in the Lansing community. See you there!
