Grand Rapids is excited to annouce that Wedneday Aug 6th at 4pm; Grand Rapids Brewing Co., McFaddens Restaurant & Saloon and Stella's Lounge will open the first parklets with street patios!
BarFly Ventures, owner of GRBC, McFadden’s and Stella’s designed and built these first three street patio parklets with support from the Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. (DGRI). The goal of the parklets is to to bring positive activity to the downtown area.

“Parklets help emphasize the importance of spaces for people in creating a vibrant public realm,” said Kristopher Larson, president & CEO, Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. “We are proud to support Grand Rapids Brewing Co., McFadden’s and Stella’s in their pioneering of this new program and look forward to what innovative parklet concepts other businesses and organizations might pursue.”

Mark Sellers, founder of BarFly Ventures had this to say: “We’re thrilled to be able to give our customers an incredible new way to experience downtown, we think these outdoor ‘street patios’ will be the hottest seats in town on pleasant summer and fall nights.”
