Greyline Brewing Co. is the latest brewery to emerge in the continuous growth of Grand Rapids Beer City. The brewery is the first to open on Alpine Ave on Grand Rapid’s northwest side in close proximity to Mitten Brewing Co. on Leonard Street and within a couple miles of Harmony Hall located at Stocking and Bridge. Owners Nathan Walser and Kevin Clancy bring with them big brewery experience with their background that include work with Perrin and Founders, but Greyline Brewing Co. plans are to stay small with a 7-barrel system and producing under 1,000 barrels a year.
The theme of keeping it small carries through to the taproom which has has limited parking and limited seating and a small kitchen. However, be prepared to be rewarded with 16 taps including mainstays and specialties in a wide variety of styles. Current offerings include Solshine American Wheat, Rambler Red Ale, and First Hour Session Brown Ale, as well as Porters and Stouts such as the Fade Nitro Oat Stout and Pale Ales including the Irie Rye PA and Lost City Double IPA. Greyline also offers ciders and meads. Please note the brewery does not allow growler fills. In lieu of a mug club, the brewery offers a Grey Card membership for $60 a year which entitles members to discounts off all pours including $1 off pints.

Greyline recently expanded their food menu which features vegetarian options including sandwiches and salads with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. The Cuban Carnitas Nachos are very highly recommended along with the locally produced Corazon Chipotle Hot Sauce. Salad options include Chicken Salad, Cobb Hill, and the “Green, Black, Yellow, & Red” while sandwich options range from a variety of slider to the West Side roast beef Dip and Jive Turkey sandwich on french roll.

Greyline Brewing Co. is open 7 days a week with hours from 11 a.m. until midnight. Please note the kitchen is currently open until 10 p..m. during the week and until 9 p.m. on Sundays.
