Cedar Springs Brewing Company
recently held it’s grand opening in mid-November. The brewery had been in development for a few years by Dave Ringler
(“Director of Happiness”,) and finally broke ground for new construction in late 2014. Construction of the building wrapped up in 2015 which included the installation of a new 15 barrel brew house. Professional brewer Matt Peterson
also joined the team at Cedar Spring Brewing Company who most recently brewed for Schlafly Brewery and Bottleworks in St. Louis, MO. Also joining Cedar Springs Brewing Company at the new location is Coldbreak Brewing Equipment homebrew supply store.
Setting Cedar Springs Brewing Company apart from many other breweries in the region is the German theme. The tap list includes Cedar Spring’s Küsterer brand of German-inspired brews which have included their Heller Weißbier and Bohemian Pilsner. In addition to the German-style offerings, Cedar Springs also features American-style craft options such as the Blood Sweat & Tears Midwest Pale. Cedar Springs also offers Vino131 wines and Apfelwein Cider. Pittsburgh’s Roundabout Brewing Company has collaborated with Cedar Springs for their recently tapped Yinzers Roundabout IPA brewed with Nelson Sauvin, Columbus, and Cascade hops.
Cedar Springs Brewing Company offers a full food menu including soups, salads, sandwiches and appetizers. Dinner entrees include fried chicken and country ribs, and as with beer selection there is also a selection of Bavarian specialities on the menu. Cedar Springs Brewing Company is family friendly and offers a kids menu as well. The brewery is neighbor to Rockford Brewing Company which is also located on the White Pine Trail about 8 miles to the south of Cedar Springs.
