Lansing's Sleepwalker Spirits and Ale is hosting a Startup Event on Dec. 19th

There is an exciting new project coming to Lansing, both in terms of brewing and business innovation. Matt Jason, a veteran educator, and Jeremy Sprague, a longtime local musician have partnered to form Sleepwalker Spirits and Ale.
In addition to distilling their own unique brands of whiskey and beer, they will be opening a pub on the Eastside of Lansing somewhere along the Michigan Avenue corridor in mid-2014. Though it's always nice for the area to get a new restaurant or brewery, that in itself is not necessarily unique. What sets their new project apart from others is the structure of it, which is the inclusion of local residents as part owners of the business and co-workers in the goal of achieving its success and growth.

Fundraising is currently underway to get Sleepwalker off the ground and the two owners will be holding an information meeting on the new venture tomorrow night, Thursday, December 19th, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Any and all are welcome to attend to learn how to become a part of this unique business that aims to expand the traditional brewing and distilling culture in the Lansing area. The meeting will be held at the Allen Market Place on East Kalamazoo Street in Lansing. Sleepwalker's goal is to inspire consumers by its unique branding and name, which is intended to create a relaxing and pleasing atmosphere and an escape from the rigors of daily life. We are excited to hear more about this and hope to see you all there.
