Brew Detroit has quietly been brewing in the Corktown area since 2012. They are located in a massive 64,000 square foot building where they brew products for Atwater Brewing and Kid Rock's American Badass Beer.
Brew Detroit is now opening a 150 seat tasting room where they will showcase Brew Detroit brand beer. The new tasting room will feature small batch beers brewed in a low-capacity two-barrel system. "Keeping them small will allow us to keep things fresh and seasonal," says Erika Brockberg, director of retail operations.

While there enjoy a game of table shuffleboard, relax on one of their many couches, and enjoy meeting friends either at the table or bar areas.

Make sure you check out the woodwork, "To make the furniture, bar and bar top we used reclaimed wood from our shipping pallets from our brew house. It's all German and Italian wood. It has a raw, industrial vibe. You can tell you're in a brewery." said Brockberg, Brew Detroit's director of retail operations.

Food will not be served on site but they are partnering every Friday and Saturday with Delectabowl and The Mean Weenie. On alternate days you are welcome to either order food or bring in food from the many restaurants around them.

Brew Detroit taproom is open now with the Grand Opening happening on February 12th.

Brew Detroit Taproom's hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday; and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The taproom is located at 1401 Abbott St. in Corktown.
