On Saturday, January 28th, 2017 the generous, craft beer-loving folks of West Michigan attended Perrin Brewing’s first Ice Jam Winter Festival, a donation based event designed to benefit Kids’ Food Basket and attack childhood hunger to provide kids in the community withnourishment they need to reach their full potential. This day long event brought in a total of 2,151 pounds of food donations and $20,000 in proceeds. A celebratory presentation of the check from Perrin staff to Kids’ Food Basket will take place at Kids’ Food Basket on Wednesday, February 8th at2pm.

Jolly Pumpkin is heading across Lake Michigan to open a new restaurant and bar in Chicago. Jolly Pumpkin has announced it will be opening a location in Hyde Park, near the University of Chicago, in 2017. The 5,800-square-foot restaurant will serve craft beers, distilled spirits, and wines available through the Northern United Brewing Company (NUBC) brand – including Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales, North Peak Brewing Company, Nomad Cidery, Civilized Spirit and Bonafide Wines, as well as a full pub menu.
