Fresh off the being named one of the Top 10 walking tours in the nation by Paste Magazine, West Michigan Beer Tours is excited to announce the start of the 2016 installment.
To celebrate the eight breweries or brewpubs in downtown Kalamazoo and the arrival of warmer weather, West Michigan Beer Tours and Discover Kalamazoo are partnering on the third annual Walking Tour Series this spring and summer.

The tour series will expand to 24 dates starting on May 7 and continuing through Sept 24. A tour will be held every Saturday and the last Sundays of June, July and August (June 26; July 31 and Aug. 28).

Registration for each tour will begin at noon at one of four downtown Kalamazoo bar and restaurants: Kalamazoo Beer Exchange, Central City Tap House, Old Burdick’s Bar & Grill or Shakespeare’s Pub. Please check the individual tour for the registration location.

The tour will then depart at 1 p.m. and visit three breweries with the tour concluding at around 4:30 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per person for the first 15 guests, $30 for additional guests beyond 15 and $39 for walkup guests. The ticket price includes samples or a pint at the three brewery stops and a commemorative stainless steel pint glass. There will be other prizes and giveaways during tour series as well.

Tour guests will also learn some of the history of Michigan craft beer and Kalamazoo’s influential place in it, as well as information about each brewery along the route. Guests will also have the opportunity for occasional production tours and the chance to meet those who make some of the city’s fine craft beer.
