White Flame Brewing Co. recently celebrated their 3rd anniversary as “Hudsonville’s oldest brewery” with a day of food, beer, and music including a sneak peek inside the currently under construction newly remodeled / expanded brew house. The event started inside the pub at noon with the bottle release of the anniversary Black Flame Imperial Russian Stout brewed with maple. This year’s limited bottle release was available all day-long during the party, but has since sold out very quickly within the week following the event.
Some nice new touches this year inside the pub include a nice new taplist board which included the 2015 Black Flame on draft. Other special brews in the taproom included Dr. Doom Imperial Stout, Passed Out Willy Double IPA, and Como El Hefe featuring smoked wheat from Pilot Malt House. Also available now at White Flame are a new variety of wines and hard ciders. Last year’s anniversary party featured a limited release of Super G with assistance of Mobile Michigan Canning but this year White Flame was featuring all of their beer available via the Crowler, a 32 oz canning alternative to the growler/howler.

The festivities inside the brew house started at 2 PM with food specials including dogs, sliders and soft pretzels. Special beers tapped in the brew house included Coffee Boy Golden ale, Glitch 10.1% ABV Imperial Pils with 90% Pilsner Malt with Citra hops for balance, and Kooky Munster brewed with Steenstra Windmill Cookies. Returning for this year’s entertainment was the always impressive Emma Loo and Sam as well as blues and rock classics from Stone Thrown. With some exciting changes evident in both the pub and the brew house, 2015 promises to be another big year for White Flame Brewing Co!
