Saugatuck Brewing Company celebrated their 10 Year Anniversary on Sunday, June 14th with barrel aged bottle releases, food and drink specials, and party complete with live music and free appetizers. The main pub/restaurant was running 10 special $10 deals all days long which included $10 flights, food and merchandise deals, and $10 growlers with fill. The celebration party itself took started at 2:00 p.m. in the brewery’s Singapore Room and was free to attend.
Also starting at 2:00 p.m. was the bottle releases. Two different barrel aged beers were made available in 12 oz. bottles for $4.50 each. The beers available were:

Lucky Number 13 Strong Ale: Clocking in at 13% ABV, Saugatuck Brewing's 1300th batch with 13 different malts and 13 different hops was aged for over 13 months in Heaven Hill barrels.

Holly’s Lust: 11.1% ABV Imperial Porter aged for 18 months in Heaven Hill Barrels.

The bottles sold out quickly (within a 1/2 hour) but everyone who was in line at 2:00 p.m. was able to make purchases. Both beers were also available in the pub to try all day long. Another special release available in the pub was the ESB/Amber on cask with Ethiopian Coffee. The party in the Singapore Room featured throwback $2 drafts that included the ESB/Amber, Bonfire Brown, and Backyard IPA as well as Hop in Yer Rye from the Brewer’s Reserve series. The Singapore Room also featured a free appetizer bar and live music.

Earlier this year, Saugatuck got a jump-start on the 10-year celebration festivities with their Inaugural Barrel Aged Bootleg Bash. That event featured 10 different barrel aged released in addition to the 2 tapped at the official 10 year party, and was held at an “open house” in the brewhouse giving attendees a peek inside the brewery’s production facility. Between the bash and the anniversary party, Saugatuck Brewing Company clearly knows how to celebrate in style!
