With their 2nd annual downtown pub crawl out of the way, Rockford Brewing celebrated their 1-year anniversary in style.
And just to make sure no one forgets what a great first year the brewery has had, a limited-edition timeline growler was made available highlighting key events such as the Chocolate Stroll, Harvest Fest, and all of the great nights of live music with the Rogue River Blues Series. Also not to be forgotten are the Coq to the Fly and corresponding Fly to the Coq group bike trips to and from Brewery Vivant (which happens to share the same anniversary date with Rockford Brewing) that took place in the Spring and the Fall. The commemorative growler also comes with half-off fills at this or any other future Rockford Brewing anniversary which will all but guarantee it to be a fixture at future celebrations in years to come.

One of Rockford Brewing’s original taps, the Belgian Multigrain, has been often requested but not seen since the Grand Opening tap lineup back in 2012. This beer has now made it’s long overdue return for this year’s Anniversary Ale. The ABV has been boosted to 8.6% (from 6.8%) and accordingly the brew is now being served in snifters. A special price of $3 per pour was in effect for the anniversary party. Roosevelt Diggs was on hand to provide the music, also fitting as this band was the first ever band to perform live at the brewery. An already great lineup of bands are scheduled for 2014 as well, with live music being featured for free at 8PM on both Thursdays and Fridays.

Rockford Brewing’s first year saw a whopping 32 different beers leave the fermentors including a post-anniversary holiday tapping of “A Chockwork Orange” Belgian Ale in $2 snifters, a collaboration for  High FIve Co-Op Brewery for their 4th Membership Buy In event. New brews are already in the works for 2014 as well, including Paradigm M.P.A. (Michigan Pale Ale) featuring all Michigan hops and malts and a new collaboration with New Holland Brewing to keep an eye out for at the upcoming Winter Beer Fest. 2014 is sure to be another exciting year for Rockford Brewing!
