Odd Side Ales has had little time to celebrate since it’s inception in 2010 as a small lakeshore nanobrewery in Grand Haven. Six years of continual expansion has included upgrading from one production facility to another and has brought the brewery to their current status as a significant regional brewery with Chicago distribution achieved earlier this year. Also new for this year is Funk Fest, a brand new outdoor celebration to be held on the Grand River in downtown Grand Haven on Saturday, June 11th from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Funk Fest will be a true celebration featuring the best local bands, area food trucks, and of course plenty of Odd Side Ales beer. Over 18 different brews will be featured on tap including mainstays like Bean Flicker Coffee Blonde and Citra Pale Ale as well as current taproom favorites like Wheatermelon. Recent bottle releases Hazel’s Nuts and the 13% ABV Triple IPA the Implication are among the more heavy duty offerings and sours will also be featured such as the dry hopped Funk Soul Brother and Sour Grapes.

Local food trucks on hand will include Fat Calf BBQ, Arturo’s Tacos, Lucy’s Market, and wood fired pizza from Forno De Pizza. Entertainment will include a 150 headset silent disco featuring 3 DJs and live performances will include the band Starmen featuring Andy Frisinger, Joe Hettinga, and Scott Pellegrom as well as headliners The Mainstays featuring members of Funktion. Admission is $15 which will get you a wristband allowing you to come and go as you please. Food and beer will be available for an extra fee. Attendance is strictly 21 and over. Tickets are available at Odd Side Ales or also online for a small fee at the following link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/odd-side-funk-fest-tickets-22177540621

Also note that the event is rain or shine and a tented area will be provided in case of rain.
