New Belgium Brewing’s Clips Beer & Film Tour stop in Grand Rapids, MI on Friday, June 27 was a great success. About 1,100 people came out to sample beers and enjoy films in Ah-Nab-Awen Park, raising $9,665. The money goes to the Greater Grand Rapids Bicycle Coalition, a local community-based coalition that offers solutions, resources and counsel to those seeking to improve their cycling environment.
“This year’s Clips stop in Grand Rapids was a ton of fun,” said Christie Catania, Clips National Special Events Manger. “We ended up with beautiful weather and 28 percent of our attendees rode their bikes to the park, which was awesome. We also gave away two New Belgium cruisers. It couldn’t have been a better night.”

This was the sixth city stop for the national tour, now in its fifth year. The tour will travel to 21 cities this season, showcasing amateur films while pouring hard-to-find Lips of Faith beers and popular New Belgium classics. Each stop features an outdoor screening of the selected films, a tasting of New Belgium’s beers, food from local vendors and other fun activities.
