Grand Rapids Public Museum Continues Beer Explorers with Beer The Change™ Partnering with Brewery Vivant
The Grand Rapids Public Museum (GRPM) is in partnership with Brewery Vivant is offering a special Beer Explorers class on Thursday, March 23 to learn about the impact of beer brewing has on the environment and the science behind it, while enjoying a special beer tasting.

"Thank You, BEER" Brewer's Challenge
On October 13th, the Grand Rapids Public Museum officially opened a fabulous and unique exhibit called “Thank You, BEER”. Mostly focusing on Michigan brewing, especially the Grand Rapids area, “Thank You, BEER” is collection of items and stories that show just how much beer has done for the West Michigan area. Even to those already knowing a lot of the history of beer in this area will be pleasantly surprised as to what this exhibit has to offer.

Thank you, BEER! October 13 - December 30, 2012
Agriculture? The Pyramids? Antibiotics? Thank you, BEER! From a humble bar coaster to community contests via social media, the exhibition looks at life through beer-colored glasses. What can’t we thank beer for? Thank you, BEER! highlights the intelligence and enlightenment of the famous brew, and the brewers who are exploring a whole new world of craftsmanship and taste. Learn about the ingredients and chemistry of brewing, the cultural contributions of beer, the failure of prohibition and the role of beer in pop culture. This exhibition is free with general admission.
