The brewery will be tapping dark beers including their flagships, specialties, and experimental releases. Fans can expect to see barrel age releases, nitro taps, and firkins of their favorite Founders porters, stouts, and black IPAs. This year Founders held a special ”Bring Me to Black Party” contest selecting ten winners to attend the event for the weekend including private tastings, brewery tours, and a meetup with the Founders team.
Black Party begins when the doors open at Founders Taproom at 11 a.m. and is a 21 and over all day event. The cost of admission is $10 which includes a souvenir pint glass (while supplies last) and first pour of any tier 1 beer.  2016 Mug Club members save $2 off on the admission fee. This is not a pre-ticketed event so be prepared for a line at opening and also throughout the day as Founders will likely be operating at full capacity. Vintage KBS, CBS, and other highly sought after brews from the brewery will be on tap throughout the day including Project PAM Maple Bourbon Barrel Black IPA which made it’s debut at a previous Black Party prior to having a limited Backstage release last year.

Featured live entertainment for this year’s event beginning at 5 p.m. includes the famed annual “Black Set” from Founders brewmaster Jeremy Kosmicki’s band Oracle, as well as local new wave surf rockers Hollywood Makeout. Also performing this year will be Animal Years from Brooklyn, New York and EMEFE will be the headliners hailing from New York City. The Founders Taproom deli will also be including some special menu items for Black Party including Dirty Bastard Brats.
