 frankenmuth christmas ale

Peace on Earth and good beer for all. That’s the holiday motto of the brew team at Frankenmuth Brewery who’ve at least delivered on the “good beer” side over the years. With Christmas cheer centered right in Frankenmuth every holiday season, you could have bet that their anticipated limited seasonal, Christmas Town Ale, would be back again this year.
Last year’s inaugural release sold out within a few weeks and was highly praised for its sessionability and seasonal flavor. The historic Frankenmuth Brewery will introduce this year’s Christmas Town Ale with a public release party on Tuesday, Oct. 21st at 6pm. Draught and packages of Christmas Town Ale will be sold exclusively at the Frankenmuth Brewery until October 31st, after which, the beer can be found in major chains, independent stores and bars/restaurants throughout Michigan through December.

Only the quintessential Christmas town could give us the perfect Christmas beer. Sweet toasted dark malts and American hops combine with holiday flavors to create a medium-bodied ale with a taste and aroma that is unmistakably Christmas.

Along with the Frankenmuth Brewery, the design and packaging is itself an ode to Frankenmuth’s holiday traditions, with creative illustrations of other popular destinations such as Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland, Zehnder’s and Bavarian Inn also appearing in the colorful downtown holiday setting. “It seems the moment Christmas Town Ale launched, consumers tabbed it as a must-have seasonal brew. We sold all our inventory by early December last year, so we significantly increased our 2014 production to handle the sales excitement Christmas Town Ale generates.” says Maher Sarafa, Brand Marketing Director of Frankenmuth Brewery.

Frankenmuth Brewery distributors state-wide nearly doubled their orders from last year to keep up with anticipated demand, with most allocated to Metro-Detroit area store chains, bars and restaurants. “Last year’s inaugural release of Christmas Town Ale drew unanticipated crowds to the brewery and is a testament to Frankenmuth’s undeniable identity with the season.” says Ryan Buchinger, General Manager of Frankenmuth Brewery. “Toasting the holidays with a Christmas Town Ale is as natural as drinking a pint to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.”
