Frankenmuth served up more than its slice of Christmas with it's 2nd Annual Michigan Bier Celebration

On July 20th, 2013 Frankenmuth served up more than its slice of Christmas. It is not only home of Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, Zehnder's Famous chicken dinners or the Frankenmuth Brewery celebrating 150 years of brewing tradition, it also hosted the 2nd annual “Michigan Bier Celebration” at the Harvey Kern Pavilion.
The Day started with early VIP entrance at 3pm and general admission at 4pm over 20 Michigan and national breweries including: Arbor Brewing, Arcadia Ales, Atwater Brewery, Bell’s, Dragonmead, Frankenmuth Brewery, Great Lakes-Ohio, Green Bush, Jolly Pumpkin, Kuhnhenn Brewing, Lagunitas-California, Liberty Street, MIP, Mt. Pleasant Brewing, New Holland, North Peak, Oskar Blues-Colorado, Right Brain, Rochester Mills, Saugatuck, Schmohz, Shiner-Texas, Shorts, Tri City, Woodchuck Cider-Vermont showcased there brewed libations.  Admission included a souvenir boot sampler in the tradition of a German Bier fest with proceeds benefiting Charity Celebration. http://charitycelebration.com/

People danced on the wooded dance floor to live entertainment from The Steve Drzewicki’s Poka Band and the County Rock styling’s of the Matt Ryan Band. Tasty food vendors included some succulent local smoked BBQ Ribs, Chicken, Grilled Burgers and Brats with extra Sauerkraut of course.  The Michigan Bier Celebration also showcased the game “Hammer Schlager”, a classic car engine rev showdown, 94.5 The Moose new country radio station,  and special photo opps with the Frankenmuth Brewery Models.  The party lasted until 11pmand the event left attendees saying the one thing “Das Good Beir!”
