Tickets go on sale next Tuesday, July 22, for a fall version of Beerfest at the Ballpark scheduled for Friday, September 12th at Cooley Law School Stadium. Festival gates will be open from 6pm-11pm with a special VIP entry starting at 5pm.
Beerfest at the Ballpark is a continued partnership and joint effort between the Lansing Lugnuts and I’m A Beer Hound. The fall festival will be held on the Jackson Field and in the evening under the stadium lights.

The Festival will provide attendees the opportunity to taste more than 250 craft beers, ciders and meads from over 50 Michigan Breweries while enjoying the ballpark’s atmosphere. “The inaugural festival in April was so popular, we decided to meet demand and turn it into a semi-annual event and host another one in the fall” said Paul Starr, creator of I’m A Beer Hound. “This festival will take place on the baseball field and in the evening so people can enjoy Michigan beer, cider and mead under the stadium lights in an atmosphere so different from any other beer festival.”

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door and include entry, a logoed tasting glass, and 10 tasting tickets. Special VIP Tickets may be purchased for $40 in advance and include early entry to the festival at 5pm, a logoed tasting glass, and 15 tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets will be available for purchase on the day of the event. Tickets are available at, or by visiting the Cooley Law School Stadium Box Office.

“The interest in our first Beerfest at the Ballpark surpassed our expectations. Not only did VIP tickets sell out the first day, but the entire festival sold out.” said, Nick Grueser, General Manager of the Lansing Lugnuts. “While we’ve increased capacity for September’s event, I would encourage everyone to get their tickets immediately.”

You must be 21 years of age to attend. Ground transportation will be readily available via iCab Taxi Service and a $10 Designated Driver ticket will be offered on the day of the event. Area hotel accommodations can also be found at

A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Child and Family Charities, a local charity whose mission is to strengthen and support children, families, and individuals as they evolve and grow in a changing community.
