Jolly Pumpkin Takes to the Hawaiian Islands for Latest Collaborative Beer: Sobrehumano Palena 'Ole

Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales has released its latest collaboration beer – Sobrehumano Palena 'Olo – a red ale brewed with liliko'i and Michigan cherries – brewed with Maui Brewing Company. Brewers Ron Jeffries (Jolly Pumpkin) and John Walsh (Maui Brewing) spent time in each other’s breweries earlier this year to craft this ale. Both versions of Sobrehumano Palena 'Ole were introduced at SAVOR, an annual craft beer and food exposition, held in Washington DC each June.

Review of Jolly Pumpkin and the Production Facility for North Peak Beer in Traverse City

Northern Michigan's Old Mission Peninsula is home to the State's third largest capacity brewery following Founders and Bell's. This is the current bottling and production facility for North Peak beer; however, the restaurant and pub next door bear the name Jolly Pumpkin. So what is the connection? The key is a brewing collaborative that spans from the north-western Traverse City south-east to Dexter and Ann Arbor known as the Northern United Brewing Company.

Jolly Pumpkin to Host Beer Dinner at The Root Restaurant

To celebrate the end of the winter season, Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales is hosting a five-course Beer Dinner on Tuesday, March 20 at The Root Restaurant in White Lake. Cost for the dinner is $70 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Space is limited to 100 and reservations are required by calling 248-698-2400.

Over 100 Craft Beer Varieties at Boyne Highlands’ Brew-Ski Festival

Boyne Highlands’ third annual Brew-Ski Festival takes place Saturday, March 10 and features more than 100 varieties of craft beer, including nearly 50 from Michigan breweries.  This festival is staged at the base of the slopes where beer lovers can gather and enjoy suds, grilled brats and spring skiing and riding.
