Beer Festivals

Gull Lake View Golf Club & Resort and West Michigan Beer Tours have partnered to showcase two of the region’s biggest attractions for the inaugural West Michigan Craft Brew Open to be held Oct. 16-18.

Now in its second year, Frankfort Beer Week is a weeklong series of beer and food-themed events happening in the Lake Michigan coastal city of Frankfort and the neighboring village of Elberta. A celebration of northern Michigan’s growing craft beer industry and established food culture, Frankfort Beer Week is scheduled for October 5-10, 2015.

The Brewers Guild U.P. Beer fest crowd was spectacular to see when we walked down toward the harbor in Marquette to get in line. Due to an early morning tweet, we knew the festival was sold out, and the crowd was going to be epic. One positive aspect of any of the guild festivals is how well run they are. Even with an huge crowd, and a line of people around the waterfront, the line is taken care of quickly and effortlessly once the festival is open. Which is great when you are excited to get in and try all the fabulous Michigan beers!

With occasional light rain and cooler temperatures, this year’s Burning Foot Beer Festival may not have fully lived up to the name, but that’s o.k. because the thousands who attended the sold out beach festival had no complaints as it certainly delivered on the beer. Over 35 of the best lakeshore and surrounding breweries brought to Pere Marquette beach in Muskegon well over a hundred different beers including many new to the area. Add to the mix great local and national bands, amazing beer-influenced food, and the beautiful beach and the result is a success.

Beer City Festivals, known for events with hard to find craft beers, and patrons hobnobbing with microbrewery owners & brewers, is teaming up with Fermenta for downtown Grand Rapid's first ALL MICHIGAN tasting event. Michigan's finest beers, ciders, wines, and spirits are eagerly waiting for you to pair them with award winning food at this themed tasting event. Tickets go on sale today.

For the third year in a row, nearly twenty Grand Rapids area breweries are once again collaborating with Friends of Grand Rapids Parks to raise money for their Urban Forest Project, an initiative to maximize the tree canopy within the city.
