Lansing Beer Week Presents: Michigan Beer Tasting Boat Cruise
Written by Ryan RanspachLansing Beer Week will take to the river on Friday, August 24th for a cruise on the Michigan Princess Riverboat, and the boat will be stocked with plenty of hot appetizers and cold, Michigan craft beer. Tickets are $50 and include appetizers & 15 drink tickets (each ticket being good for a 3 oz. sample). Beer from Arcadia Ales, Atwater Brewing, Darkhorse, North Peak, Frankenmuth, and Uncle John's will all be available for you to enjoy.

Recap of Lansing's First Annual Michigan Rock n Brew Festival
Written by Tammie WahlCraft Beer and Rock N Roll seem to go together like peanut butter and jelly so naturally we were excited when we heard about the first annual Michigan Rock N Brew Festival. We were even more excited when we found out it was going to be held right in our home city of Lansing, Mi! The Michigan Rock N Brew Festival is a weekend long celebration of Michigan Craft Beer and live Rock N Roll.

Lansing Beer Week Presents: Michigan Craft Beer Bar Crawl in Stadium District!
Written by Ryan RanspachThe fifth event in the Lansing Beer Week rotation will be a bar crawl through the Stadium District in downtown Lansing on the evening of Thursday, August 23rd. Tickets are $25 and includes two pints of Michigan craft beer and access to exclusive beer & food specials at each of the four stops along the way. The bars included in the crawl will be The Waterfront Bar and Grille, The Nuthouse Sports Grill, Taps 25, and The Tin Can. All these places have made Michigan beers a big part of their business models and we are proud to have them aboard for this bar crawl.

The second day of Lansing Beer Week, Monday, August 20th, is Retailer Day. This event will be held in the evening and will feature free Michigan beer tasting at a few of the top craft beer stores in the area; Vine & Brew in Okemos will be giving out Short's, the East Lansing Food Co-Op will be sampling Founder's beers, and the four Lansing-area Big Ten Party Store locations will each have a different Michigan brewery's beer to sample.

Lansing Beer Week Presents: Reno's East 2 West Bike Ride
Written by Ryan RanspachTo kick off the first inaugural Lansing Beer Week on Sunday, August 19th, we will be hosting a bike ride to and from each of the Reno's locations with specials on Short's beer awaiting riders at both locations. Riders can go from West to East or East to West, and transportation back from either location will be available for a minimal fee.

The Inaugural Lansing Beer Week will be held from August 19th to 25th
Written by Paul StarrThe first annual Lansing Beer Week will take place from August 19 to August 25, 2012. This week long celebration will feature Michigan craft beer themed events through out the greater Lansing area. The goal of Lansing Beer Week is to raise awareness of the Michigan craft beer industry while promoting patronage to local establishments and stimulating the greater Lansing area’s retail economy and Michigan made products.

Come Celebrate National Mead Day with B. Nektar, Dragonmead & Kuhnenn!
Written by Ryan RanspachOn Saturday, August 4th, Motor City Brew Tours will be a hosting an event that is a bit of a change from their normal brew tours. Since it is National Mead Day, they will heading out to various meaderies (2 of which are also breweries) in the Detroit area. The event last from 12:00-3:00; tickets are $25 and include transportation, tours and samples at each of the three meaderies. The tour begins and ends at B. Nektar Meadery in Ferndale and coincides with their 4-year anniversary. It will then head to Dragonmead Brewery and Kuhnenn Brewery, then finish up back at B. Nektar for their anniversary party.
