Fermenta, a 501 (C) (3) non-profit trade group initiated by Michigan women, committed to diversity, camaraderie, networking and education within the craft beverage industry, announces its fourth collaboration project alongside the breweries of the Michigan Brewers Guild.
The first brewery collaboration project premiered in 2014 at the Summer Beer Festival with ten collaboration brews with Michigan breweries. At this year’s upcoming Michigan Brewer’s Guild Summer Festival in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Fermenta and 25 breweries will showcase their beer collaborations.
The participating breweries opened up their brew houses to offer hands-on education on a variety of brew systems as well as processes. Education is a pillar in Fermenta’s mission, and these collaborations embody both education and networking opportunities.

The breweries participating are as follows: Arbor Brewing Co., Batch Brewing Co., Beard’s Brewery, Brewery Ferment, Canton Brew Works, Cotton Brewing Co., Detroit Beer Co., Draught Horse Brewery, EagleMonk Pub and Brewery, Eternity Brewing Co., Fenton Winery & Brewery, Grizzly Peak Brewing Co., Lansing Brewing Co., Mitten Brewing Co., Old Nation Brewing Co., Ore Doc Brewing Co., Pike 51 Brewing Co., Right Brain Brewery, Short’s Brewing Co., Stormcloud Brewing Co., Tapistry Brewing Co., Traffic Jam & Snug., Schmohz Brewing Co., Witch’s Hat Brewing Co., Unity Vibration Kombucha Beer and Tea.

Fermenta is also celebrating its two-year anniversary this summer. To toast such an accomplishment, Fermenta is hosting an anniversary party on August 20th at Lansing Brewing Co. located in Lansing, Michigan. Besides offering great craft beverages and light appetizers, there will also be a keynote speech by Karen Hamilton of Lagunitas Brewing Co., a mini-trade show, membership renewals, raffles, educational seminars on malt and spirits, and executive board elections. Tickets are $7 for current members and $10 for non-members. All are welcome!
