Uncle John’s Cider Mill hosted the first annual The Hard Cider Run this past Saturday, May 30th, and had a spectacular turnout of nearly 600 participants.
Cloudy skies eventually gave way to rain, but that didn’t stop the mixture of walkers and runners there to traverse the orchards for 3.1 miles. Following the run, all participants were able to taste the various ciders on draft and in bottles at Uncle John’s, including the award-winning Perry cider in their commemorative glass.

You can expect The Hard Cider Run to return to the Lansing area in 2016. The event production company, Riff Raff Productions, and Uncle John’s Cider Mill are already in talks for finalizing a date.

If you haven’t had your cider fill for the season, The Hard Cider Run is heading to Grand Rapids at Sietsema Orchards on August 29, 2015. Head out there to try some amazing Lemongrass, Traditional and Dry-Hopped Ciders.
