I'm a Beer Hound is excited to bring Cider Fest to Red Salamander in Grand Ledge on October 11th from 5:00 - 10:00pm. Many of you might remember Lansing Fall Fest which was held at Red Salamander last year, and Cider Fest will be taking it's place.
Cider Fest will have 15 different Cideries with 40+ ciders. This festival will feature great Michigan Cideries such as Uncle John's Cider Mill, Vander Mill, Virtue Ciders, Tandem Ciders, Meckley's Ciders and many more. Tickets are $40 in advance and include 15 (3oz) sample tickets and a logo'd sampling glass. Advance VIP tickets are available for $50 to the first 75 people with an early entry at 4pm, 20 (3oz) sampling tickets and a logo'd sampling glass. Tickets will be available on the day of the event for $45.

“With so few cider festivals, we saw an opportunity to reach a crowd that is underserved. At our past events we always offered a wide selection of ciders, but we wanted to hold an event that was just about cider”, said Paul Starr, owner of I'm a Beer Hound. He added, "Before I got into craft beer I drank cider, and now Michigan cideries are creating some really great cider. We wanted to have a festival to showcase the amazing ciders we have in the state of Michigan.”

A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit The Homeless Veterans Project, a local charity that provides services for homeless veterans housed at the Lansing VOA. For more information including a full list of the attending cideries, visit ciderfest.net.
