Lansing Beer Week Presents: Michigan Craft Beer Bar Crawl

The fifth event in the Lansing Beer Week rotation will be a bar crawl through the Stadium District in downtown Lansing on the evening of Thursday, August 23rd. Tickets are $25 and includes two pints of Michigan craft beer and access to exclusive beer & food specials at each of the four stops along the way. The bars included in the crawl will be The Waterfront Bar and GrilleThe Nuthouse Sports GrillTaps 25, and The Tin Can. All these places have made Michigan beers a big part of their business models and we are proud to have them aboard for this bar crawl.
Waterfront Bar and Grille Tin Can Nuthouse Sports Grille Taps 25 Our opening bar, The Waterfront, has become one of the premier patio spots in town. Located in the Lansing City Market and with seating right along the riverfront, this is a great place to spend happy hour (and perhaps beyond!). Since opening, they have made it a priority to feature rotating tap handles which include many great Michigan beers. With this great location and a simplicity-first approach, they have really become one of the brightly burning spots in the still developing Stadium district.

The Nuthouse is a member of the old guard of the Lansing bar scene. Their primary focus when opening was to serve as the sports bar catch-all in downtown and provide a good pregame spot for Lansing Lugnuts fans. While still doing this adequately, they have incorporated outdoor music festivals, Tigers and Lions bus trips, and a increased focus on serving Michigan beers on tap. They have a first-rate staff and we are glad to have them as a part of Lansing Beer Week.

Recently opened Taps 25 serves as a caveat to it's neighbor and fellow stop on this bar crawl, The Tin Can. Owned by the same group, Taps 25 features draft beer and bottles while The Tin Can serves only canned beer. Taps 25 has a great range of brands & styles on tap, many of them being Michigan beers. It is a cozy, long & narrow bar and has become a great option for an evening watering hole in the Stadium District. The Tin Can is a little more no-frills, but has great beers (ones in cans, that is) for all tastes and budgets. We're excited for them both to take part in this event.
