Craft Breww City will celebrate American Craft Beer Week (May 16-22) by tapping one limited edition beer each day, Monday – Friday, beginning on May 16, 2016.
Craft Breww City (CBC), located at 27843 Orchard Lake Road in Farmington Hills, will feature a powerful five-day line-up of “Tap Takeovers” with highly sought-after beers from award-winning breweries including Dogfish Head, Perrin, Sierra Nevada, Dark Horse, and Stone Brewing Company, during the week-long craft beer celebration.  Tap takeovers will begin at 6:00 pm each night.

American Craft Beer Week gives breweries and fans across the United States an opportunity to connect and celebrate the culture, community, and love of craft beer,” said CBC General Manager Joe Affeldt.  “We wanted to do something really special for beer-lovers that week.  The tappings we chose for each day will offer craft beer fans and guests a great opportunity to sample some of the finest rare, limited edition brews in the nation today”.

CBC will kick-off the celebration week on Monday, May 16 at 6:00 pm by tapping “No Rules”, a limited edition Imperial Vietnamese Porter.  Created by Perrin Brewing Company in Comstock Park, Michigan, “No Rules” is a 15% Imperial Porter, made with coconut, cinnamon, and turbinado sugar, that’s laid down and aged in bourbon barrels for several months.

On Tuesday, May 17, guests will be treated to the return of the wildly-popular “Dogfish Head 120 IPA“ at Craft Breww City.  Since its release in 2003, this 120 Minute Imperial Pale Ale has only been available in very limited quantities.  Clocking in at 15-20% ABV (alcohol by volume) and 120 IBUs (international bitterness units), it’s easy to see why people call this beer “The Holy Grail” for beer lovers.

Wednesday, May 18, will showcase a tap takeover of Sierra Nevada’s world-class “Narwhal” Imperial Stout.  Featuring incredible depth of malt flavor, rich with notes of espresso, baker’s cocoa, roasted grain and a light hint of smoke, Narwhal is a massive malt-forward monster for craft brew fans.

Craft Breww City will round out American Craft Beer Week by tapping “Bourbon Barrel Aged Arrogant Bastard”, a strong barrel-aged ale from California’s Stone Brewing Company on Thursday May 19, and barrel-aged ”Scotty Karate Scotch Ale”, a cherry wood smoked malt from Michigan’s Dark Horse Brewery on Friday May 20, 2016.
