 The Inaugural Beer Houndette Events at Red Salamander Learning How to Brew

Join the inaugural Beer Houdette’s events at Red Salamander Beer and Wine making supply store September 12 at 6pm and learn how to make an Octoberfest style beer, and talk about basic brewing. The Beer Houndette’s are a Lansing area women's craft beer monthly meetup group.  Are you a female who loves craft beer or just getting into the craft beer scene? This women only group will highlight some of the best beer bars, restaurants, how to brew, classes and a chance to converse will fellow women of craft beer.
The Red SalamanderRed Salamander is Lansing area's destination for beer and wine making supplies, accessories and information. Red Salamander is located in 902 E Saginaw Hwy, Grand Ledge. They're also the home to the Red Ledge Brewers Homebrew Club.

The Events:

September 12 -  Start 6pm
Make an Octoberfest style beer, and talk about basic brewing.

October 10 - Start 6pm
Make an IPA with fresh hops, talk about sanitizing and cleanliness.

November 14 - Start 6pm
 Make chocolate porter, and talk about yeast and fermentation.

December 12 - Start 6pm
Make a holiday style beer (spice and such), talk about bottling.

January 9 - Start 6pm
Create a recipe and make it, talk about recipe formulation.

These are all second Thursdays, start time 6pm finish by 7pm  (probably sooner). We will be able to drink the beer from the previous class. All participants will get the Beer Hound discount the night of the class.
