Welcome Reo Brew School, located at 1149 S. Washington to the Reo Town family. Ari Levinsohn and his partner Andrew Alexander fit right into the creative, fun vibe the Reo Town area is known for.
Reo Brew School was started as a love for both home brewing and teaching. Both Ari and Andrew are teachers at Holt Junior High School and wanted to blend their enjoyment of brewing and teaching together in a class for the public in the white building next to Saddleback BBQ in Reo Town.

With a micro set up, each student is paired with either Ari or Andrew where they experience brewing from start to finish. This gives each student plenty of hands-on training and one and one instruction.  Ari and Andrew enjoy brewing different styles and are looking forward to seeing what future students want to brew. Currently, the students are working on an IPA and an Irish Red.

With breweries opening up all over the state, they felt like many people were interested in learning how to brew but were either unsure of where to start, or were not sure if this was the right hobby for them. Reo Brew School gives people the chance to try brewing before buying all the equipment. The class costs $99 and you learn how to brew, ferment, bottle or keg what you create and are able to keep 48 bottles of beer when completed.

The first classes they offered in March and April sold out quickly. It looks like May’s class will fill up just as quickly.  They are currently planning new classes starting on the last Saturday of each month. Sign up soon for your chance to try brewing at Reo Brew School.
