What's I'm a Beer Hound

Welcome to I’m a Beer Hound—I’m Paul Starr, and I only howl for Michigan beer!

Michigan is home to plenty of micro and craft breweries, and my goal is get someone to put down a can of a big name, boring beer, and pick up a pint of one of Michigan’s unique brews.

Need to know where to buy Michigan made beer? I got ya covered.

Want to know more about Michigan beer? Watch my video reviews! They are short and sweet, just like a leprechaun dipped in chocolate. I don’t spend a lot of time going into every detail about each beer—I focus on what you need to know right now: what’s it taste like and did I like it.

I rate each beer from one to ten Howling Hounds. If I give a beer one Howling Hound, it did not rock my world—but if I give it ten, buy as much as ya can!

Sometimes, I have a few buddies, or my special lady Tammie, help me out with reviews. I even do Round Table reviews, because not everyone’s taste is the same as mine Some people like wheat beers, some don’t—and some people still love Rick Springfield. Go figure.

The video fun doesn’t stop with beer reviews—I also feature a Brewery of the Month and a Restaurant of the Month.

For the Brewery of the Month, I take you on a tour of the place and focus on what types of beer are brewed there—and they usually serve food too!

In the Restaurant of the Month videos, I showcase a restaurant or bar that serves Michigan beer, but does not brew their own. I also chat with an owner or operator, so you get a bit of history about the place. I even sample some of the chow.

Ya got that, foodies? Videos of food!

You can even stay updated on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Want to know even more about I’m a Beer Hound? I was interviewed by Lansing Capital Gains.

And if any of you need a website built, check out my web design company, Paul Starr Productions.

Cheers!

- Paul
