New Holland Brewing Co. Breaks Ground on Westside Grand Rapids Brewpub, Microdistillery & Restaurant
New Holland Brewing Co., Michigan’s third largest brewery and first craft whiskey distiller, has just signed a lease with Rockford Construction and plans to launch a new brewpub, micro-distillery and restaurant slated to open in early 2016 in Grand Rapids, Michigan’s west side. The new endeavor supports the company’s goals to reach the growing craft consumer in New Holland’s home market of West Michigan and beyond.

Osgood Brewing in Grandville celebrates 1-year anniversary
Osgood Brewing in Grandville recently celebrated their 1-year anniversary with a party featuring an evening of live music, exclusive beer tappings, and firkins. 16 different beers were on taps for the celebration with the centerpiece being the 1st Anniversary Ale, an Imperial take on the popular Oakestown American Amber Ale. A commemorative growler and special merchandise were also available at the anniversary party.

The Zombie Beer Fest Being Held at the New Salem Corn Maze is Rescheduling for Saturday, October 18th, 2014

The Zombie Beer Fest that was originally scheduled for October 4th has had to reschedule for Saturday, October 18th, 2014. We are very sorry for the inconvenience of this short notice. “We were faced with a scheduling conflict, and had to decide whether to cancel, or move the date back", said festival promoter Joe Boyer, "We don't want to disappoint the great beer enthusiasts that support our festivals and the intimate atmosphere we provide with Michigan's best brewers.

Brewery Becker- Traditional, Not Typical
Brewery Becker opened in downtown Brighton this past July, after 38 months of planning and renovating the historic building it now calls home. Built in the early 1870s, the building opened as the Western House Hotel in 1873 and today resides on the National Register of Historic Places.

Tibbs Brewing Company joins Kalamazoo’s emerging small batch beer scene
If you’ve not paid a visit to Kalamazoo in a couple years, a lot has been going on with their local brewery scene. While staples like Bell’s and Olde Peninsula brewpub continue to thrive, the biggest news is of course Arcadia Brewing Company’s recent move from Battle Creek to Kalamazoo with a new productions facility, pub, and restaurant. But while this maybe the most visible and apparent recent addition to Kalamazoo brewing community, behind the scenes another craft brewing revolution is current in progress at the nanobrewery scale with the introduction of several new smaller breweries with brewing systems of 3 barrels and less. To put this in perspective, Bell’s recent expansions have put them in the capacity to brew 500,000 barrels or more a year.
