This St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, Sullivan’s Public House will expand to accommodate even more revelers by hosting the holiday in its own pub as well as an adjacent property. The owners will transform the extended space into Michigan’s own St. James Gate style Pop-up Guinness Bar at 21 N. Washington Street. St. James Gate is the original Dublin-based brewery where Guinness was first brewed in 1979. The one-day event will pay tribute to this internationally-known beer birthplace. Not only will pints of Guinness and pours of Jameson be flowing the Pop-up Guinness Bar, but it will play host to a full day of authentic, live Irish music and dance. Bagpipes, Irish dancers, DJs and full live bands will keep the party going from morning until night, 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, March 17, St. Patrick’s Day. Expect surprises and giveaways.
